Indoor water play in Japan for rainy days with kids

Where can a family still have a water day in Japan when it rains? Several facilities state that their indoor pools work in any weather or season. They differ mostly in how far they are from a city base and whether they suit a half day or an overnight.

For: Families travelling in the rainy season or with an uncertain forecast

Decide with these criteria

What to weigh

  • How far from your base are you willing to travel on a bad-weather day?
  • Do you need a shallow or kids' pool for younger children?
  • Is it a half-day fallback or a stay in its own right?
